Mark captured the scene in Ben's Chili Bowl the night before the inauguration. The line stretched two blocks and there was a gigantic balloon of MLK on the roof of the building.

I am thrilled to have the privilege to witness history by attending the presidential inauguration of Barack Obama. My best friend Mark Conaghan is joining me in this journey. We will focus more on the local flavor rather than the inauguration itself. We are staying in the area where the 1968 riots occurred and much has changed. This blog will chronicle the generational shift.
