We arrived in D.C. around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday night. The temperature was a blistering 19 degrees! Here is video of Mark driving as we drive pass by the Washington Monument. If you look closely, you can see all of the bleachers and scaffolding being erected on the National Mall.

I am thrilled to have the privilege to witness history by attending the presidential inauguration of Barack Obama. My best friend Mark Conaghan is joining me in this journey. We will focus more on the local flavor rather than the inauguration itself. We are staying in the area where the 1968 riots occurred and much has changed. This blog will chronicle the generational shift.
